What Hua Hin is like

Hua Hin is Thailand's original beach resort, developed in the 1920s as a royal retreat about 200 kilometres south of Bangkok. It has a calmer character than Phuket or Pattaya: long sandy beaches, good seafood, a night market, and a Thai-heavy crowd rather than a purely international one.

For Muay Thai travelers it offers three established gyms within a compact area. One holds the only 5-star certification from Thailand's Office of the Boxing Sport Board in Hua Hin. Another is the only official CrossFit affiliate. The third is the highest-rated gym in the city by review count.

How do I get to Hua Hin from Bangkok?
By road it is approximately 3 to 4 hours. The train from Hua Lamphong takes around 4 hours. Buses run from the Southern Bus Terminal in Bangkok to Hua Hin's bus station in about 3.5 hours.
Is Hua Hin suitable for beginners?
Yes. All three camps listed explicitly welcome beginners and have structured programs for students arriving with no prior experience.
What is the DTV visa and can I use it in Hua Hin?
The Destination Thailand Visa allows longer stays linked to certified training. Both Elite Fight Club and Pro Muay Thai Gym have DTV support listed on their sites.
